This is a picture of some Zombie homes in Rochester. Zombie homes are those that are vacant and neglected. Have you ever wondered about the homes that look like this? Why do you think these homes are like this, and how do you think they got this way? What might be the story behind them? Also, what do you think happens to a neighborhood that has Zombie homes in them?

DeleteI think they leave their home because someone died and had to go to a funeral. Also,someone left the house for so long,that the house got old.And I think some neighbors won't have a pleasant day or life.

ReplyDeletehappen in the house cause looking at it have burn marks on it. I think the reason that it will affect the neighborhood is because people will started getting scared of it and move away from there house.
I think these homes are like this because something bad happen. Somebody could've drove by and shot the house up. Also,the house could've burned down. When its a a banded house on a neighborhood people might start hanging out by that house and they might start thinking they could just do whatever they want to that house. Also, some people like if there were homeless they might break in that house and sleep there. That is what i think something happen to these homes.

DeleteWhat I Think that cost the house to be a bedded is somebody probable felt uncomfortable or they just don't like them.I think they got this way is somebody might bust the windows or someone just didn't like it so they might just did something to the house like put creaks in the wall of let the tube over fold and the sink.Or a family that lived there they might heaved drugs of liquored in there old house.Also,what I think is going to happen to the neighborhood is that the street is going to have lots of zombie houses if family's keep leaving the house there is going to be lots of zombie house on the street.This is what I think.

Also maybe because their was a chemicals in the house. Also because the house was to expensive to fix so they cant pay the rent. Next the houses effect the neighborhood because they attract criminals so they could hide.Also homeless people go to live the homes.This is how zombie homes affect people.
ReplyDeleteI think houses end up like that is by mistreating the house and by the owner not helping it look better and many people just are abanding them and just leaving them junky without even cleaning up.Also, many people be trying to break in and making their own home like some people be setting houses on fire and that's not right we should take care of these type of houses.
ReplyDeleteWhat I think they do to zombie homes is people could demolish, and rebuild these types of houses but other things like people using these houses for shelter could become hurt by breaking the floor because the floor is not stable but why are these houses like this my theory is that the person that owns this has went bankrupt,alcohol,drugs,ext... that has cause this to waste money or run out of money

DeleteI think these homes are like this because they were way beyond repair so the families abandoned them. So now the neighborhood probably doesn't look as pretty as it did before it was abandoned. :)

DeleteI have wondered about zombie homes before. For example, there was an old blue house that was vacant and looked neglected in my neighborhood, and one day we saw a bulldozer there and in two days the house was gone.
ReplyDeleteI could imagine that in these houses in the picture I think an old man and woman lived in the house to the right, and a family lived next door. One day there was a terrible fire in the old man and woman's house, the fire spread to the family's house. Everyone died in that fire. The old man and woman didn't have any children or anyone at all left in their family. For the family, there was a grandpa who lived in Florida but died of colon cancer earlier that year. Since their was nobody left the bank took over and the house was left, abandoned. I think when a neighborhood has a zombie home, the price of the other houses go down, causing people to pay less for a house that is worth more.

DeleteNo, I have not wondered about it before because I didn`t really care that much about it. I think these homes became like this because people probably didn`t want to buy those houses and it just got old. I think zombie homes got everybody in the neighborhood to leave because they`re worried that they`re children will try to go in that house.

DeleteThe homes might look like this because they might have been present and abandoned. I believe they abandoned at the time of a flood. A neighborhood that has zombie homes in them might have children tempted to go into it, and that would probably get them KILLED. KILLED, I tell you! Plus,their parents would start grieving.

I think this because inside the house there is insects and it´s dirty.When people leave food out they are being careless and insects come to eat the food that they left. I think people that have Zombie homes in their neighborhood feel disgust because the insects in the Zombie house will go to the neighborhood homes.

ReplyDeleteI think the Zombie homes might be like this because there might have been a fire, flood, murder, or any major problem that has taken place at this house. Or if the owner or renter of the home didn't take care of it. And if a neighborhood has Zombie houses in them people might move away or won't move in at all. In these abandon houses some that are still in some good form are bought and remodeled or if the house is in very bad shape it is demolished. Some of these Zombie homes are locked to prevent people like kids to get in. The structure might not be secure enough and might collapse but some people still try to get in. This is what I think about the Zombie homes.

The things that would happen in the neighborhood is that teens and kids come to party inside the house. The teens or kids can end up doing drugs or alcohol which is BAD!
