In today's blog post, we will consider the topic of cheating. After reading the following article, respond to the post with
- three examples of cheating in the context of school. Feel free to use personal example.
- two examples that would not be considered cheating.
- make sure your ideas are clearly identified.
Cheating in school is mostly about two things: dishonesty andbreaking the rules.
Another important thing to remember about cheating is that it applies to ALL your schoolwork. That includes:
- Tests and quizzes
- Homework assignments
- Group projects
- Reports and papers
- Extra credit work
- Claiming that you did the work by yourself when you really didn't.
- Pretending you did work that you didn't do, or saying it's your work when it's really someone else's.
- On the flip side, doing another person's work for him, and letting him take credit.
- During a test, writing down answers beforehand, getting answers from other students, or helping others students answer questions.
- "Am I being honest to my teacher about how I did this work?"
- "Am I following all the rules that I know my school has about behavior and class work?"

Cheating is horrible, whether its sports or school work, cheating is NOT cool. For example, if a child asks you to give them the answers to a history test, say no or ignore them. Another example is that if a person looks at your page without you knowing. This can get people into big trouble. Lastly, If you start before your friends in a race that is considered cheating too!
ReplyDeleteSome examples of not cheating, are helping a friend if they need it, but not just giving them the answers. Also you can encourage a friend to ask an adult or teacher about the quiz or problem sheet.
I think that cheating is a bad mistake to make, because you can do better.

ReplyDeleteYou can cheat in many ways but probably the most poplar ones are looking at someones else paper, someone giving you the answers, or just having someone else doing it. But sometimes people will say using a multiplication table or asking other people to help you is also cheating, but i think it is just using your surroundings to help so it's not cheating.

ReplyDeleteOne thing that will be cheating is coping somebody paper.Like looking at there test or quizzes and there homework.Say if somebody don't do there homework and they ask a friend there friend can let them copy there homework. Two reasons that is not cheating is not letting somebody or your friend see your paper.Another reason is if somebody or your friend try to look you can flip your paper over.This some reasons cheating or not cheating

ReplyDeleteSomething that is not consider cheating is get a Teacher/parent to help you and anther thing that is not consider to be cheating is if you study before hand.That would consider to be cheating is if you steal answers,use a calculator,copying work.
ReplyDeleteCheating is a bad thing to do. For example the person who did the work worked hard and the person who is copying didn't. Which means the person who is copying would not learn what and how to do it. Another example is that the person who is copying could just ask how to do the work. So that is why I think cheating is a bad thing to do.

ReplyDeleteWhen you are cheating you might be looking on someones paper. Also cheating is when you cheat on cheating the work hard to pass test or when you cheat doing extra credit to pass a test. Next when people are not cheating the work hard to pass a test. Finally when people don't cheat they are honest when they be honest. This is what cheating and not cheating is.

DeleteCheating can be looking at some "brainy" neighbor's work and using that to complete your work. Another way you can cheat is printing an article off the internet and claiming that you wrote it yourself. Finally, you can cheat by completing a kid's work and giving him the credit. Two ways you do not cheat are studying before the big test and helping a classmate without giving them the answers.

Cheating is not good, for example, say if you don't know what to do in a question situation and you ask a friend to do it for you and he gets the answer correct but you didn't at least try the answer and you take credit for it and if they ask you to do it and you don't get the right answer.
ReplyDeleteAnother example is when kids have to do a test and they don't know the answer they might go to kid who does and ask them for the answer or maybe even copy off their paper I mean if one person got it right everybody supposed to got it right but not the exact same way like the same multiplication and the same examples. One last way that cheating is bad is because you got the exact same answer on the homework math page you got the same dividing box you got the same answer the same way like everything the same.
Two reasons why cheating is not expected is because you might not learn anything. for example if you cheat you won't learn anything from the whole year all you know how to do is cheat and that's not good cause the teachers might suspect something you won't know what to do. That's why cheating is not necasary and not wanted.
You can cheat in many ways like copying people work work and on test and homework.I think that cheating is bad and good cause if you think about it is good cause you saving your good life in it and it is bad cause your looking at somebody work you can't do that the person can get in trouble by there teacher.

Another way of not cheating is checking your work against a friend. That's what i think cheating is and what cheating is not .
